GTB announces a new managed firewall plan and additional security products
Owings Mills
4/9/2006 -- GTB announced today the introduction of new security products to help businesses protect their network. As the number of businesses using the Internet increases, thousands of businesses expose their network to hackers. Most business owners do not have the means or the expertise to deal with the problem and discover the severity only when the damage is already done.
GTB’s new security offering includes a managed firewall option that allows the individual business restrict who can access the network and at what level of security. The firewall product does not require any hardware at the customer location and can be managed online. In addition, logs are generated and warning is sent by email in case of an attack or intrusion.
GTB also provides antivirus and spyware protection at the user level. All programs opened by the users are scanned and only clean services are allowed to go through. The system can be centrally managed and any threats are reported by email to the administrator. The program can be easily installed by the users or by a professional GTB tech at the customer premise.
